Our Founder

Saima Salman is a renowned Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Corporate Trainer with over 25 years of diverse clinical experience working with the American, European, and Asian population. She is a Clinical Fellow at the prestigious Albert Ellis Institute in New York City, where she was personally trained and supervised by Dr. Albert Ellis himself. In addition, Saima has received extensive training from Dr. Aaron Beck and Dr. Judith Beck at the Cognitive Therapy Institute in Philadelphia. She is the only Cognitive Behaviour Therapist from Pakistan/Singapore to have been trained by both Dr. Albert Ellis and Dr. Aaron Beck, two giants in the field of psychology.

Saima is a Certified Supervisor in Rational Emotive Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and the first Muslim Cognitive Behaviour Therapist to conduct extensive research on Islam and RECBT (Rational Emotive Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). She coined the term iRECBT, which stands for Islamic Rational Emotive Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Her research and paper on this topic were acknowledged and shared by Dr. Albert Ellis and other leading clinicians worldwide.

As the founder and CEO of Rational Living Inc Pte Ltd, Saima is passionate about raising public awareness of mental health issues. She regularly conducts workshops, talks, and intensive RECBT trainings for professionals, students, and the general public, with a particular focus on women’s issues related to emotional, mental, and psychological abuse. She has also run awareness campaigns, therapy groups, and talks for teens and women, and worked as an Emotional Empowerment Trainer for a Singaporean social enterprise that supports underprivileged and marginalized women, single mothers, and youth at risk.

As the founder of Rational Living Inc, Saima, has dedicated her career to helping individuals overcome challenges and reach their full potential. With her extensive training and experience as a seasoned Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, Saima has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the ways in which negative thoughts and behaviors can impact our lives. Saima is not only a skilled and highly qualified clinical psychologist, but also a compassionate and dedicated professional who is committed to helping her clients achieve their goals and live their best lives.

Through her compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy, Saima has helped countless individuals improve their mental health and well-being, develop coping skills and strategies to manage emotional disturbance and difficult situations, and achieve personal growth and fulfillment.

In addition to her work as a therapist and trainer, Saima is a certified Mental Health Youth First Aider (Georgetown University) and Certified Yogi for Teens (Integral Yoga, NYC). She is also a motivational speaker and a certified Pilates, Zumba and Urbhanize instructor
